Viewership
This post is not my next one. I’ve wanted to report this though. Some may wonder how many people view this blog or website. What is the viewership? I understand this might not be “readership.” As of today, this month this blog received 106,400 views (October 31, 6:00pm, 145,100 views). I’ve not written about that. Maybe I’m just picking an exceptional month?
Both new visitors and views have risen consistently. A month is a bigger sample size than a day or a week. To get to 106,400 views for this month, the blog needed an average of 3,000 to 4,000 views per day or 21,000 to 28,000 per week. It wasn’t 50,000 in one day.
What does viewership matter? People are visiting and then looking here. In 2018-19 I organized and put together the index for the blog, but I have not come back to index the material from 2020-2025. Hopefully I’ll do that soon.
Purpose
This site requires reading. People don’t come here to look at pictures or watch videos. That limits viewership. People today are less prone to want reading instead of watching something. Still, I write. Reading, and, therefore, writing, are necessary.
Why write for a larger audience than a church? A church is a witness to both Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth. A single church can and should have a bigger influence than just its locale. Our church will do better in a better country and better world. Both can and should occur at the same time — local and greater than local.
Also, not everyone will write like this, producing more helpful content. I don’t make one cent off of this. I’ve never attempted to monetize what occurs here. People read and use for free. People do sell their material at other locations, like freepress and substack, and such sites.
Writing, Reading, and Using
Writing, I’ve found, is a reward in itself. It edifies me and then others. I’m happy if through influence here, more people are like what I write, which comes from scripture. This post reports some of the extent of the influence of a blog like this.
Thank you for reading and using.
Thank you for writing!
You’re welcome!
As a young pastor, I appreciate that you do keep writing. I appreciate the occasional opportunity to interact with you through your writing on this blog. Thank you.
Thanks Adam!!
I’ll come back at the very end of the month, but while making this last comment to Adam, I looked and views for the month were 124,000 on this blog.
It is really good to hear that readership is up. For the last few years, I noticed the comments decreasing in number, and wondered if less folks were visiting.
I found this website through the TR/KJV issue. I’ve always been encouraged and challenged by the articles, and have referred many people. I often use your content for research, including the Scriptural exposition articles.
Thanks so much for continuing to write. I’ve often thought it would be great to be able to download all of the content, including the jackhammer articles (for a fee or course), in case it ever got taken offline.
I would like to have it all offline. There’s probably a way to do that.
